Suzy Khimm is a writer currently based in Southeast Asia. She focuses on global issues from political, economic, and cultural perspectives, contributing to The Economist, The Wall Street Journal Asia, Slate, Conde Nast Traveler, The Christian Science Monitor, and others. From 2006-2007, she was an Associate Editor for the English-language Cambodia Daily in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Suzy was previously based in Rio de Janeiro, where she reported on urban violence in Brazil's prisons and shantytowns. Before casting off as a journalist, Suzy worked in the performing arts, producing multimedia events and writing an off-off-Broadway play. She received a BA in Literature from Yale University.
